|
|
Great News!
We're still dotting the t's and crossing our eyes, but we're thrilled to say that everything looks to be in order for FOUR MORE OUTDOOR DRUM & DANCE CIRCLES this summer at Cherry Beach (aka Clarke Beach - MAP!) from 7-11pm, in the grove of trees just east of Cherry Street on the following dates:
June 17th
July 15th
August 12th
September 9th
(Most of these dates are close to the full moon - Grrrawrr!)
Conditions for the permit are the same as in Trinity-Bellwoods Park:
All drumming ends at 11.
Clean up after ourselves/Leave No Trace
Act with our best discretion in and around the park.
Thank you Councillor Paula Fletcher and Sandy Straw and Jaime McCaig at Parks and Rec!
See you at Cherry Beach under the Full Moon!
**********TTC Info for Cherry Beach***************************
TTC access is a wee bit tricky. Routes 72A and/or 172 only go all the way to the Cherry Beach on the weekends, But on Tuesdays, the furthest it goes is Commissioners St at Cherry Street (MAP!) about a 10 minute walk from Cherry Beach.
The 72A runs a circuit from Pape Station to Commissioners & Cherry Streets from 4:40 AM to 7:05 PM http://www.toronto.ca/ttc/schedules/index.htm
The 172 runs to and from Union Station to Commissioners & Cherry Streets from 8:00 pm-1:00am http://www.toronto.ca/ttc/schedules/index.htm
WHICH MEANS FROM 7:05-8:00, there are NO BUSSES to Cherry Street. _________________ --
